We all look at the world through our own lens. If someone seems to be acting irrationally, put yourself in their shoes. You will probably find that you would act much the same way if you were in their position. Seek to understand and come to what may appear to be a difficult situation with compassion and understanding.
We must never compromise our standards of workmanship or our values. Don’t cut corners. Perform every aspect of your job to the very best of your ability and take pride in the work you do.
Put others needs in front of your own. Decisions should be evaluated by how they will impact other people before they are made.
The level of perseverance that an individual has is a tremendous predictor of success. Those that learn how to fight through the tough times know what it takes to come out on top.
With the rate at which technology is changing, we must continually ask whether we are staying ahead of it, just keeping up, or are we falling behind? Challenging the status quo and innovating new processes are at the heart of greatness. Never stop asking questions - success depends on it.
When you are truly living life you find that it is all just a series of "leaps". Expand yourself and explore outside your comfort zone. TAKE THE CHANCE and don't be afraid to fail - it is the only way to ever achieve greatness. Life is too short to live any other way.
Lead - don't just follow. Step up and take responsibility when the opportunity is presented. Be a person that others want to emulate, and remember that your ACTIONS will determine the person that you are - not your words.
Think before you speak - no truer words were ever said! Look inside for your true feelings, seek to understand where someone is coming from, and then communicate clearly, deliberately and effectively. Understanding, and being understood, comes from clear and honest communication.
Take time to NOTICE and ACKNOWLEDGE all of the positive things that happen during the course of a day. We often have to consciously choose to stay positive rather than to slide into negativity. Look around with eyes wide open and see all of the good that is out there. Be positive and good things will happen.
Always do the right thing whether someone knows about it or not! Treat everyone as you would like to be treated – not as a reaction to how you are treated.
We may act boldly or with confidence, but never with conceit or cockiness. Look at every job or task as an opportunity to learn and never take it for granted.
For people, equipment and your surroundings. There cannot be success without respect - you will succeed as an employee, a manager, a spouse, a parent and as a person by respecting those around you.
If you can keep your mood light, upbeat and fun, you will not only make the world better around you, but you will be BETTER at what you do. Enjoy what you do and a happier life will follow.
The brain can outmuscle your muscles any day of the week. THINK about everything that you do and see if you can improve upon it. True success is determined by how SMART we work, not always how HARD.
Open mindedness is an asset that cannot be measured…..or overvalued. Our understanding of the changing needs of those we come in contact with – and our willingness to alter our world to accommodate them is a keystone in the bridge to becoming the person that we want to be.
Turn that gaze inward to see if you are truly holding yourself to a higher standard. You are the only one responsible for your own success. If you are diligent, focused and expect more of YOU than anyone else could, you will be a success in whatever you choose to do.
After much thought, deliberation and a competition - below are seven (7) more values that were created by employees of this company that are called our Community Values....
It may be difficult to see the connections at times, but if you really think about it, we are all interworking parts operating within the same mechanism - we are truly dependent on each other. And like your car, or one of our machines, if one part is not working properly, it can bring the whole thing to a screeching halt! Understand – that everyone’s job is important. Believe – that we are all here to accomplish our common goals, and be the best we can be. Let Go – of your differences , and your negative thoughts….and Value – that which each of us brings to this company, and “our family” everyday. This is truly what makes this “engine” run.
Have confidence in yourself. Be confident in your abilities to to perform the work that you do, and in your capacity to achieve the things that you want out of life. On a day-to-day basis, in our company, technical expertise is absolutely critical.....BUT without confidence expertise is rendered useless. Don't give in to the negative words that may surface in your mind...the thoughts of "I can't" or "it's impossible". Believe in yourself, and in what you are doing. Substitute "I can't" with "I will" and "it's impossible" with "I can find a way". If you believe in yourself, and have confidence in what you do, there is nothing that can stop you from achieving anything you want in life.
The dictionary definition of "accountability" is - an individual's willingness to take responsibility for one's own actions. Without accountability - without OWNING what you do - there is no "Integrity". "Respect" is undermined. Your ability to "Lead By Example" is vastly diminished, and you most certainly are NOT "Focusing On You". Accepting accountability is one of the very first, and most important, steps in realizing your personal, and our company goals.
Without being boastful, be proud of your accomplishments everyday! It is easy to get caught up in the "daily grind" - letting the sometimes routine nature of what we do rob you of truly engaging with, and appreciating the incredible sense of accomplishment that this work can bring. You are here for a reason and should acknowledge what you bring to the table. If you can have pride in everything you do, and in yourself - the results will speak for themselves.
You can have all the talent, or ability, in the world, but it is how you apply yourself - everyday - that will determine how far you will go. Think about it - have you ever seen, or met, a highly successful person that does not talk about all the hard work that it took to get there? Ultimately, your level of success is only determined by the level of effort that you are willing to put into it.
Be present in each moment and take the time to connect with the people who you are surrounded by. Open doors to lasting and fulfilling relationships with family members, customers, co-workers, and people in all aspects of your life by engaging with , and showing interest in, what is important to THEM!
We do not simply make a thousand good parts. We make one good part, and do it one thousand times. Each part that we touch has a future - a "life", if you will. It may become a part of an industrial machine, or an airplane, or go into space, or even become a part of a device that saves someone's life. With each and every part we touch comes an opportunity to not only impact our customer, but society, in a positive way. Focus - intently - on the work that you do, and you WILL make the world a better place.
